Minor Ingredients with Major Labeling Considerations
FDA requires every ingredient in the recipe formulation to be listed in the ingredient statement. Ingredients must be listed by common name in order of predominance based on weight. However, as with many regulations, there are some exceptions to the rule. Ingredients found in small amounts and incidental additives at insignificant levels are given leeway in this requirement.
