Q: Do “Halal” claims require third-party certification? If not, should I pursue this certification voluntarily?

A: No, “Halal” claims are not legally required to be third-party certified. However, it’s recommended that manufacturers utilize a certifying agency to ensure the claim is substantiated.Third-party certification may also increase consumer trust and prevent issues down the road.
