Front and Center: Mexico's FOP Labeling
Food manufacturers selling products in Mexico have been navigating front-of-package labeling since the country first implemented the required warning system in 2020. The law requires black-and-white octagon-shaped symbols on the front, upper-right corner of food packages when a food exceeds a certain amount of critical nutrients: calories, sugar, saturated fat, trans fat, and/or sodium.
